For ten consecutive years Phil Gries has free-lanced, as Director of Photography, for ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT. Since the 1980’s he has worked on hundreds of behind the scene shoots for UNIVERSAL, PARAMOUNT, HBO and SHOWTIME, including, “THE GODFATHER PART 3,” “HOPE & FAITH,” “THE SOPRANOS,” “OZ,” “SEX AND THE CITY,” “GOSSIP GIRLS,” “THE GOOD WIFE,” “ARMY WIVES,” “NURSE JACKIE,” LEGALLY BLONDE: THE MUSICAL,” “FINAL NIGHT WITH GEORGE BUSH,” “ANGELS IN AMERICA,” “FOR LOVE OF THE GAME,” “THE CODE,” “A DOG YEAR,” “WORLD TRADE CENTER,” “WALL STREET: MONEY NEVER SLEEPS.” In
2001, Gries shot rare exclusive personal documentary profile footage, over a period of one week, of Michael Jackson rehearsing, alone and with family, prior to his last New York Concert at Madison Square Garden. In recent years Phil Gries has worked on numerous television series, including "PLAIN JANE," "CIA DECLASSIFIED," RAIDERS OF THE LOST PAST," "IDEAS EXCHANGE," and the 13 part series, "MAFIA'S GREATEST HITS."
